RehabWorks Parent Support Group

Your loved one has a program. Now you do too.

A specially designed program for parents facing a substance use issue—whether your child is 16 or 36.

Addressing a substance use issue with a son or daughter is one biggest challenges parents may ever have to face. and you can use all the support you can get.

Unfortunately, you don't always get that support.

Adding to that unfortunate reality—from a treatment perspective—is that the more support you get, the better the chances of treatment success for your child.

I've been helping parents navigate substance use issues with a son or daughter for over 35 years. I understand the unique challenges parents face—the worry, the uncertainty, the difficult decisions, and the struggle to know when to step in and when to step back.

That's why I created the RehabWorks Parent Support Group.

A complete program built around three key components:

  1. Weekly parent support group sessions (limited to 8 families) — Connect with other parents, share experiences, and receive guidance and support in navigating your son or daughter's substance use and recovery.
  2. RehabWorks online education course — Provides the framework for understanding substance use and the role parents can play in supporting recovery.
  3. A private 1:1 strategy session (early in the process) — Develop a plan for what to focus on in your specific situation.

Give your loved one the best chance possible for treatment success.

"At the time, I thought my daughter's addiction was the worst thing that could have ever happened to our family. Today I can say it's the best thing that ever happened to our family."

Ricky E., father of a 17-year-old treatment client

NOW: Parent support for every stage of recovery

✔️ Loved one currently in treatment

✔️ Addressing a potential problem

✔️ Dealing with relapse

✔️ Loved one unwilling to seek help

This is not simply a support group.

This is a professionally guided parent group built around a comprehensive educational framework. You'll gain practical tools for understanding substance use, navigating family dynamics, and supporting your loved one's recovery—while connecting with other parents facing similar challenges.

Through this process, you'll learn:

a. What's The Problem: Understanding what it means to have a substance use disorder and what this means for your son or daughter.

b. Boundaries: Tools for restoring family balance

c. Measurement: Knowing where your loved one is in the recovery process

Weekly group sessions provide ongoing opportunities to discuss challenges, share experiences, and apply what you're learning to your own family's situation.

From chaos to peace of mind
